Jewlari was born in Big Sky Country. Montana isn't just where we're based — it's the reason this brand exists at all. Growing up surrounded by the Beartooth and Crazy Mountains, our founder spent countless weekends hiking creek beds, old mining trails, and river banks, always drawn to the stones scattered along the way: sapphires tumbled smooth by glacial rivers, banded agates hiding in plain sight, quartz catching the light after a rainstorm.
What started as a personal collection — jars of stones on a windowsill, pieces picked up on hikes and never quite thrown away — slowly turned into something bigger: a simple idea that the raw, understated beauty of the Montana landscape could be captured in jewelry people actually wear every day, not just admired behind glass.
Jewlari started small, testing designs with friends and family before ever becoming a real brand. What stuck was a philosophy we still follow today: let the stone do the talking, and keep everything else quiet around it.
DESIGNED WITH MONTANA IN MIND
Every Jewlari piece takes its inspiration from the textures and colors that shape this state — the deep blue of a high-altitude sky in October, the amber of cottonwoods turning along the Yellowstone River, the cool grey of river stone worn smooth over decades. We work with natural and semi-precious stones, pairing them with clean, minimal settings so the material itself always stays the focus, never buried under unnecessary detail.
We're not a mine, and we don't claim to be a stone-cutting operation carving raw rock out of the ground ourselves. We're a small, independent team based in Billings who sources, curates, and designs each piece with that Montana aesthetic at its core — treating every collection the way you'd treat a good hiking trail: no shortcuts, no unnecessary detours, just the essentials done right.
